Robert Pattinson recently did a photo shoot for a French magazine and while the pictures they printed weren't over the top, the shoot itself got pretty racy. It included Rob groping around with a model while both of them were topless. But apparently, Rob didn't enjoy it. A source says, "The girl snaked all over his body, nibbling his earlobes, kissing his face and neck and pressing her bare boobs against him, but you could see he was uncomfortable with it. He seemed to get all nervous and started worrying that it was just going too far." Then it went too far. "Toward the end of the shoot the photographer instructed the model to lick Rob's nipples! That was the kiss of death. Rob called cut and went in his dressing room and made a phone call." While Rob eventually came back out and finished the shoot, the magazine got a call from his people a few days later demanding that they pull the pics that were too racy.
Jennifer Lopez still hasn't decided if she wants to return for another season of "American Idol". On "Ellen" yesterday, she said, "I really do enjoy it now, this is my second year. I don't know if I can go for a third year. I miss doing other things. It really does lock you down, which was nice the first year with the babies being three, but now they're getting more mobile, they're about to go into school, so I just don't know." Here's video. Skip to the 2:30 mark, otherwise just watch her and Cameron Diaz talk about the non-existent beef on the set of "What To Expect When You're Expecting."
Robert Downey Jr. may make as much as $50 million off "The Avengers." What a genius - after the first "Iron Man" was a hit, Downey's reps renegotiated his deal so that he gets a cut of the profits on any movie in which he plays the character. And none of the other Avengers are getting anything even close. Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner only got between $2 million and $3 million. Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson got twice that, because they have deals to appear in several of the upcoming Marvel superhero movies.
Maria Menounos and Derek Hough had a perfect 30 on Monday night's episode of "Dancing With the Stars" but she still wound up in jeaopardy along with Donald Driver and Peta Mergatroid. In a shocking elimination, Maria and Derek were sent home. That leaves Donald, William Levy and Katherine Jenkins to compete for the Mirrorball Trophy next week.
We've heard that Britney Spears will rake in around $15 million for doing "X Factor" next season, but we hadn't heard anything on Demi Lovato's take. Well, Demi is getting just over $1 million meaning that Britney will be making 15 times her salary. This sounds crazy at first, but the more you think about it, the more it makes sense. Demi is lucky to even have the gig. If Simon Cowell wasn't chasing demographics, she probably wouldn't have been on his radar.
Sarah Hyland who plays Haley Dunphy on "Modern Family" has been battling kidney disease most of her life. And on April 13th, she had a kidney transplant. The donor was her father. In an interview with "Seventeen" magazine, Sarah says, "You know that family is always going to be there for you no matter what. My dad gave me a freakin' kidney! But it's also the families that you create outside of your family. And you really find out what kind of people you're friends with. I have a second chance at life, not a lot of people get that." One person who's really been there for Sarah is her boyfriend Matt Prokop. He guest starred as Ethan on last week's episode of "Modern Family". Sarah says, "He helps me with my medication and takes me to doctor appointments and all the stuff that I need to do to take care of myself. Any other 21-year-old guy would not be there, I guarantee it. I am one of the luckiest people in the world to have him be there for me."
Jay-Z doesn't have anything new in the pipeline right now because he's taking a break to chill with his four-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy. He says, "I thought I would be more inspired to have all these new feelings to talk about, but I really just want to hang out with my daughter. I want to enjoy this time for what it is. I'm sure that bug to get back in the studio will come back at some point." Meanwhile, Jay-Z the businessman is still working. He's developing a music festival called "Made in America," which will go down in Philadelphia over Labor Day weekend. He will headline the show, but none of the other acts have been announced.
This week, all the major networks are unveiling their schedules for next season and yesterday, Fox took its turn. The biggest news is that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are replacing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger as judges on "X Factor". There's been a ton of speculation about this, but now it's finally official. Britney and Demi appeared with Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid at a Fox event yesterday. Britney said, "I'm so excited about this whole experience. It's going to be so much fun and so different from anything I've ever done. I'm ready to find the true star." Demi said, "I am totally stoked to be here. I'm excited to represent my generation and I'm ready to find the winner."
Fox announced five new shows for next season, three comedies and two dramas. Here's a quick rundown of each:
-"The Mindy Project": A sitcom about a young gynecologist, played by Mindy Kaling, who you know as Kelly from "The Office". She alsocreated the show. "The Mindy Project" is the show's tentative title. It'll probably end up being called something else. Hopefully.
-"Ben and Kate": A sitcom about "a pair of odd-couple siblings." Its previous title was "Ben Fox Is My Manny".
-"The Mob Doctor": A drama about a "brilliant female surgeon" who's "caught between her medical career and her family's debt to the Mafia."
-"The Following": A thriller starring Kevin Bacon as a former FBI agent who's called out of retirement to track down the mastermind behind a nationwide string of murders. Fox describes it as the next "24". James Purefoy, from HBO's "Rome",plays the bad guy. He's a serial killer who has created a network of serial killers.

It stars Beau Bridges, Scott Foley from "Felicity" and the "The Unit", and Becki Newton from "Ugly Betty".
There are also three new reality shows listed: "The Choice", "Hotel Hell" and "Take Me Out". But those will premiere this summer, and aren't technically part of Fox's schedule for next season, which begins this fall. The shows Fox is not bringing back next season are: "Alcatraz", "Breaking In", "The Finder", "I Hate My Teenage Daughter", "Terra Nova" and "House", which is airing its series finale next week. By the way, Fox announced that "Glee" is moving from Tuesdays to Thursdays and Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson will both guest star on multiple episodes next season. There's no information on whether or not they will be singing.
In the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, someone is shopping a tape of sexy male model Tyson Beckford. But it's just Tyson. He's by himself. You know, handling things all alone. Sources say it's 45 minutes long, and Tyson is video chatting with a female model while he's doing a little five on one. He also talks about some of the movies he's been in and actors he's worked with. Tyson also reveals one of his biggest pet peeves: Being mistaken for Tyrese Gibson. Tyson has had a very limited acting career and is most famous for hosting Bravo's "Make Me a Supermodel". Meanwhile Tyrese has been in all three "Transformers" movies and two of the "Fast and the Furious" flicks. There's no word if the tape is legit, or if anyone is interested in buying it. Beckford's camp says they haven't seen it and won't comment until they do.
Jessica Simpson has sold the first pics of her newborn daughter Maxwell to "People" magazine for $800,000. That's on the low-end for celebrity baby pics. Four years ago, "People" shelled out $11 million for the first shots of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins. Although industry people have said numerous times that the market for baby photos will never get that outrageous again. On the other hand, Beyonce and Jay-Z didn't make a dime off their daughter Blue Ivy. They just posted pictures of her online. Meanwhile, Jessica seems to be enjoying motherhood so far. Here are some of her recent Tweets: "Motherhood is by far the best thing I've ever experienced." "She is insanely beautiful. I can't help but play dress up!" and "I'm addicted to buying headbands with massive flowers for Maxwell." How cute!
All the major networks are unveiling their schedules for next season this week, and NBC is up first. The biggest news is that they're doing two seasons of "The Voice" next year, one in the fall and one in the spring. All four judges will be back for the fall season, but an NBC suit said they might get different judges for the spring season. Here's a quick summary of the 16 new shows:
-"Go On": A sitcom starring Matthew Perry as a "miserable sportscaster" who returns to work after losing his wife in a car accident.
-"The New Normal": A sitcom about a gay male couple and their surrogate. The woman is a "Midwestern waitress and single mother with a checkered past." Justin Bartha from "The Hangover" plays one of the gay dudes and it was created by Ryan Murphy, the guy behind "Glee".
-"Animal Practice": A comedy about a male veterinarian in New York, whose ex-girlfriend is put in charge of the animal hospital he works at. It stars Justin Kirk from "Weeds".
-"Guys with Kids": A sitcom about three men in their 30s who just became fathers, but are still desperately "trying to hold on to their youth." Jimmy Fallon created the show, and it stars Jesse Bradford from "The West Wing", Anthony Anderson from "Law & Order", Jamie Lynn Sigler from "The Sopranos" and Tempestt Bledsoe from "The Cosby Show".
-"Save Me": A comedy starring Anne Heche as a woman who almost dies after choking on a sandwich. When she's revived, she realizes she now has "a direct line to God."
-"1600 Penn": A comedy about a U.S. President and his family, starring Bill Pullman as the President, and Jenna Elfman as the First Lady. NBC describes it as "Modern Family" meets "The West Wing".
-"Next Caller": A sitcom starring Dane Cook as a foul-mouthed satellite radio DJ, who "is forced to share his show with a chipper NPR feminist."
-"Revolution": A drama from "Lost" creator J.J. Abrams about a post-apocalyptic world where there's no modern technology.
-"Chicago Fire": A drama about the firefighters and paramedics of a Chicago firehouse. It was created by Dick Wolf, the guy behind "Law & Order", and the cast includes Jesse Spencer from "House", and David Eigenberg from "Sex and the City".
-"Do No Harm": A drama that's a play on the "Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde" story. It stars Steven Pasquale from "Rescue Me" as "a gifted neurosurgeon who has an alter ego with a dark side."
-"Infamous": A drama about an FBI agent who investigates the death of a "wealthy socialite and notorious party girl." Everyone thinks it was an overdose, but he thinks it's a homicide.
-"Hannibal": A drama inspired by Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter books. It's about an FBI agent who teams up with Hannibal to solve crimes, not realizing that he's a killer.
-"Stars Earn Stripes": A reality show like "Dancing with the Stars", where celebrities compete in "real military exercises." There's no word on a cast yet.
-"Howie Mandel's White Elephant": It is what it sounds like, a game show inspired by White Elephant, the holiday gift-swapping game.
-"Ready for Love": A dating competition that takes "three impossibly handsome grooms," and puts three matchmakers in charge of scouring America to find wives for them. It sounds a little like a cross between "The Bachelor" and "American Idol".
-"Surprise with Jenny McCarthy": A variety show hosted by Jenny McCarthy, where she "gives people surprises of a lifetime."
The shows NBC is not bringing back next season include: "Are You There, Chelsea?", "Awake", "Bent", "Best Friends Forever", "Harry's Law" and "The Firm". The shows they are bringing back include: "The Biggest Loser", "30 Rock", "Community", "Grimm", "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit", "Parenthood", "Parks and Recreation", "Smash", "Up All Night", "The Voice", "Whitney", "The Office" and "Celebrity Apprentice". After 10 seasons, CBS has canceled "CSI: Miami". The original "CSI" and "CSI: New York" have been renewed as well as "Two and a Half Men" back for another season. ABC has canceled its new show "GCB" after one season. They've also dumped "Pan Am", "Missing" and "The River". ABC has renewed "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23", "Private Practice", "Body of Proof" and "Last Man Standing". The CW will bring "Gossip Girl" back for one last 13-episode season. That's about half the episodes the show has been producing in previous seasons. "Nikita" and "Hart of Dixie" have also been renewed. "Ringer" and "The Secret Circle" will not be back.
Serena Williams wants to be a rapper. That's about all I need to say - just listen and form your own opinion.
Rihanna may finally be ready to wash her hands of Chris Brown, after she unfollowed him on Twitter yesterday. She dropped him almost immediately after he released a remix of the Kanye West track "Way Too Cold" which contains a verse that sounds like it's aimed at her. The line says, "Don't f*** with my old b**** / It's like a bad fur / Every industry n**** done had her / Shook the tree like a pumpkin just to smash her / B**** is breaking codes, but I'm the password." After Rihanna unfollowed Chris, he unfollowed her too, and said, "Assumptions! I didn't say any names so if u took offense to it then it's something you feel guilty about." WARNING!!! It is NOT safe for work or kids!! Lots of CURSING!! The line in question is at the 1:11 mark.
Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough just celebrated their second anniversary, and now they are talking marriage!! Ryan said, "It's something we talk about. On our anniversary night we talked about the things that we'd done that year." Ryan even took to the Idol stage to hint at marriage. Wednesday night, she was in the audience and after showing a segment of her new movie, "Rock of Ages," he said to her, "There's something that's been on my mind. It's a question I've been meaning to ask you, and I don't want you to feel uncomfortable." He reached into his pocket and looked as if he were going for a ring, saying "Oh, God...Will you...give this note I wrote to Tom Cruise? Because I'm such a big fan." Ryan did add in the interview that they are not interested in putting their wedding on TV. He is an executive producer for all the Kardashian reality shows on E!
Reese Witherspoon's parents are involved in an interesting little love triangle. Reese's mom Betty is suing Reese's dad John on the grounds of bigamy. Here's the deal: Back in January, John married a woman named Tricianne Taylor. But according to Betty, she and John are still married. And even though they've been separated since 1996, Betty's lawsuit says they're, "in regular contact and speak together many times per week. They attend family functions together, including their daughter's wedding in California." Betty says she found out about John's new wife from a wedding announcement in the newspaper. But she says that John has problems with alcohol, depression, hoarding and possibly early-onset dementia. She adds, "I love my husband and I don't want a divorce. We have been married 42 years. He needs help." Betty is seeking to have John's marriage to Tricianne annulled. She also got a restraining order to keep Tricianne from getting her hands on any Witherspoon money or possessions.
Justin Bieber has released his Mother's Day song "Turn to You". It's dedicated to his mom and the proceeds will help other single moms. That's a good reason to actually buy it. You can find it on iTunes. There is a preview before you decide to buy it.
Hollie Cavanaugh was sent home on "American Idol" last night. That means the Final Three is Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Phillip Phillips.
If you haven't seen enough of Rihanna naked yet, here's something to potentially look forward to because in the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, she's in talks to pose nude for "Playboy". And the deal would be worth well over a million bucks. A source says, "This appeals to Rihanna's creative side. Her main concern is that she doesn't alienate her army of young fans who could think this is a little too risqué." Really? We're supposed to believe that Rihanna is suddenly worried about her young fans? I want to believe that Rihanna IS going to pose nude for "Playboy," but when the "anonymous source" says she's worried about being too risqué for the children, my B.S. meter goes off big time!
Fox actually landed some decent single celebrities to participate in their upcoming dating show, "The Choice". I told you about this last week. It's a total rip-off of "The Voice" with the spinning chairs and everything. On each episode, four celebrities will choose a non-famous bachelor or bachelorette to go on a date with. Initially, the stars will have their backs turned to the contestants, so they won't be able to judge based on appearance. But Fox has already said all the contestants will be, "physically attractive." Maybe they were right? The participating celebrities are: Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, Dean Cain, who played Superman on "Lois & Clark," Fashion model Tyson Beckford, Season Five "American Idol" winner Taylor Hicks, "Jersey Shore" stars Pauly D and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Rob Kardashian, Romeo, Chef Rocco DiSpirito, Radio personality Michael Catherwood, a.k.a. Psycho Mike, Former NFL star Warren Sapp, and current NFL players Ndamukong Suh of the Detroit Lions and Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots. Notice all the names that were formerly contestants on "Dancing with the Stars" in there? Warren Sapp, Psycho Mike, Rocco DiSpirito, Rob Kardashian, Romeo and The Situation. Anyhoo, here are some other names they've leaked, former "Saturday Night Live" star Finesse Mitchell, Olympic skier Jeremy Bloom, Olympic snowboarder Seth Wescott and Olympic Taekwondo gold medalist Steven Lopez, soap opera actor Jason Cook, who's on "General Hospital," Parker Young, who's on the ABC sitcom "Suburgatory" and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Robert Nettles. There will be one episode featuring female stars. They will be: Carmen Electra, "Playboy" model Hope Dworaczyk, who was on "Celebrity Apprentice," former Miss USA Rima Fakih and Australian actress Sophie Monk, who was in "Date Movie" and "Click." "The Choice" premieres on June 7th. Cat Deeley is the host. By the way, Fox is now admitting the obvious: That 'The Choice" was initially a spoof of "The Voice". Fox suit Mike Darnell says, "What started out as a goof ended up being a ridiculously good format. It really feels like a hit. It was charming and funny." The show is more about the choices than the actual dates, but nonetheless it'll be interesting to see what happens there.
A second unidentified masseur has joined a $2 million lawsuit against John Travolta claiming the actor sexually assaulted the men in two separate incidents during private massages. The second unnamed man, a resident of Georgia referred to as John Doe No. 2 in court papers, claimed that Travolta rubbed his legs, touched his genitals and tried to initiate sex at a private appointment at the actor's room inside an Atlanta hotel on January 28th. The allegations echo those of John Doe No. 1, a resident of Texas, who filed the initial complaint late last week and accused Travolta of sexually assaulting him during a private massage at the Beverly Hills Hotel on January 16th. "This second 'anonymous' claim is just as absurd and ridiculous as the first one," said attorney Martin Singer, who represents Travolta. "Our client will be fully vindicated in court on both of these absurd and fictional claims." The good news is that Travolta has produced a restaurant receipt that will clear him of assault charges. The receipt clearly shows that John was 2,400 miles away in New York.
During Tuesday night's "Dancing With the Stars" results show, both Roshon Fegan and Melissa Gilbert were sent home. Though they made a massive comeback following their near-elimination last week. Birthday girl Melissa who turned 48 yesterday, and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in dead last Monday.
Jermaine Paul of Team Blake won "The Voice" on Tuesday night, taking home a recording contract with Universal Republic Records, a $100,000 cash prize, and a shot at his dream of singing stardom. Jermaine collapsed into a hug from his coach Blake Shelton and wiped away tears as he thanked his wife, children, and all of the people who voted for him, ending his speech by exclaiming "nobody but Jesus!"
It should have been a happy day on set for the four coaches of "The Voice" as they geared up for the finale tonight, but instead an explosive fight blew up between Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine during the rehearsal last night. Christina found out that Adam planned to have his finalist, Tony Luca, sing "99 Problems" by Jay-Z, in which he'll sing "I've got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one" the source explains. "Adam and Tony wanted to call Christina out as a bitch but make it clear she's not a problem for Tony. It was completely aimed at her. It was Adam's idea, but Tony absolutely loved it." However, Christina found out about it and totally flipped out. She was highly offended and somehow it ended up that NBC told Adam to change 'bitch' in the song's lyrics to 'chick.'" But Adam wouldn't agree, arguing that changing the song completely ruined it and might as well be a death sentence for Tony. Later, Adam blew up at Christina during the coaches' rehearsal for "Free Your Mind." According to a source, "Adam went right up to Christina and said 'you're the biggest f***ing c***," but Christina snapped back that Adam should be fired!" That whole ordeal led to a halt in production rehearsals. Witnesses said Adam was being incredibly immature, locking himself in his trailer. By midday it wasn't even confirmed that Adam would be going through with the coaches performance. It was that bad."
In the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, John Travolta hired a massage therapist who has either an active imagination or Oprah's best friend is about to be laughed out of Hollywood. Here we go: this masseur claims Travolta took him to a Beverly Hills Hotel, stripped to nothing, "revealed his excitement" and then began to touch the massage guy in very inappropriate places during the massage. When the guy declined to fool around, Travolta cried, "Come on dude, I'll 'make you happy'!" John then 'made himself happy' and told the massage guy he had achieved fame "due to sexual favors he had performed when he was in his 'Welcome Back Kotter' days." It got even more graphic, but I can only say so much. Travolta's lawyers deny the entire incident, notes E! Online, calling it "complete fiction and fabrication."
Remember when Sacha Baron Cohen showed up at the Oscars as his character from the upcoming comedy "The Dictator" and dumped ashes all over Ryan Seacrest? Well, it turns out Ryan wasn't Sacha's original target. Ryan said that he ran into Sacha backstage at "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. Sacha apologized to him and he told him that he had planned to dump the ashes on George Clooney. But everyone decided that was a bad idea, since Clooney was up for several awards that night. So they settled on Ryan.
Justin Bieber is a high school graduate. Justin said, "I just finished high school. I passed my test. I'm free! It was hard doing school and work every day." Some celebrities don't bother to finish school once they become famous. That list includes: Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Jessica Simpson, even Tom Cruise. But Justin says, "Graduating was something my mom really wanted me to do, so I had to do it for her. This kind of lifestyle has given me a different perspective on life. I've been able to travel the world." By the way, Justin does acknowledge that his life is forever changed, and he's cool with that, for better or worse. He says, "The grass is always greener. If I was in Canada, I'd be wishing I was here doing all this stuff. I'm really happy to be where I am and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
Adam Yauch "MCA" of the Beastie Boys passed away on Friday morning, after a three-year battle with cancer. He was 47. In July of 2009, he revealed that he had a tumor in his salivary gland. Last year, there were reports that MCA's condition was improving, but in a message to fans, he said those reports were premature. He said, "While I'm grateful for all the positive energy people are sending my way, reports of my being totally cancer-free are exaggerated. I'm continuing treatment, staying optimistic, and hoping to be cancer-free in the near future." MCA wasn't able to make the Beastie Boys' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction last month and in his absence, the group opted not to perform. MCA started the Beastie Boys with his friends Mike Diamond a.k.a. "Mike D" and Adam Horowitz a.k.a. "Ad-Rock" in 1979. Their most recent album, "Hot Sauce Committee, Part 2", was released last May. It's too soon to say how or if the Beastie Boys will continue. There's been no comment yet from Mike D or Ad-Rock. The Beastie Boys blended punk, rap and rock music, and have sold over 40 million albums over the past 30 years.
Drake and Tyra Banks were spotted on a date last week at Disneyland. He's 25, she's 38 in case that matters to you. I wouldn't guess they are trying to keep it a secret since they were at one of the most populated places in the country. Not to mention, people have posted PICTURES of them together. There's no word how serious things are between them.
In the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, 41-year-old former "Real Housewives of New York City" Bethenny Frankel hooked up with The Situation from "Jersey Shore." The embarrassing story began to unfold last fall when a website printed a "blind item" that read: "Strangest hookup ever: This controversial female married A-list reality star spent a good five minutes making out with this second fiddle reality star who thinks he is way better than he is." A Bravo network source said, "Bethenny's marriage to Jason Hopple has already been hanging by a thread, and this could finally sink it." Bethenny is also worried how the rumor could affect her new talk show, which will begin test run on FOX stations in June.
Katherine Jenkins is recovering from a concussion after a dance rehearsal went wrong Thursday. Her "Dancing With the Stars" partner Mark Ballas slammed his knee into her head. She said after: "I'm a tough Welsh girl and I just got on with it. I felt awful but I was determined to carry on."
In the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, it looks like Zac Efron is trying to make something happen with Rihanna. The insider says, "Zac has been incredibly persistent. He's wanted to hook up with Rihanna for years and thinks now the time is finally right." Zac allegedly sent four dozen roses to Rihanna's hotel room when both were in Australia a few weeks ago, leading Rihanna to call his room and thank him. Then she agreed to meet up with him once they were both back in LA. "Zac's sick of his good-guy image," explains the source. "He wants to cut loose and have some fun — and he thinks Rihanna is the perfect girl for that."
"The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" are notorious for doing pretty much nothing to actually create lasting love connections. And maybe after all these years, that's rubbed off on host Chris Harrison. Because Chris is about to be a bachelor himself. He and his wife are splitting up after 18 years of marriage. They have two children together. Anyone think Chris will be the next Bachelor? Haaa!! "The Bachelorette" returns with Emily Maynard on Monday, May 14th.
Shaqille O'Neal will officially become a doctor tomorrow when he graduates from Miami's Barry University with a doctorate in education. Specifically, his degree is in organizational learning and leadership, with a specialization in human resource development. He's been working on it for four and a half years, and he graduates with a 3.81 GPA. Shaq says, "Kids can still call me Shaq, but adults should call me Dr. O'Neal." As for why he did it, he says, "One, I wanted to continue challenging myself, see if I could do it. I was a medium-level juvenile delinquent, didn't believe in school. But my parents instituted no pass-no play in our house, and that changed my life. Also, a lot of kids look up to me, especially my own kids, and now that I'm not playing anymore, I want them to have something to look up to me for." In 1992, Shaq left Louisiana State after three years to join the NBA. But he eventually finished his bachelor's degree. Then in 2005, he got a master's in business administration online, through the University of Phoenix. And he says he's not done learning. He's looking at a possible degree in law or psychology next. Shaq is also a reserve police officer in Miami Beach and Los Angeles.
After all the rumored names and all the buzz surrounding the upcoming season of "X Factor" we've now heard there are contracts in the hands of Demi Lovato and Britney Spears. In fact, some reports say Demi has already signed hers, but Britney's is allegedly worth $15 million for one season with an option. No comment from Fox yet.
Last night on "American Idol" we took it from the Top five to the Final Four. Two guys and two girls. Hollie Cavanaugh and Sklyer Lane were in the bottom two. America voted off Skyler, leaving Hollie, Jessica Sanchez, Phillip Phillips and Joshua Ledet to compete for the Top three next week.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are talking marriage in the Big Fat Rumor of the Day! They are apparently "very serious" about making a commitment to each other and are ready to pick out rings. Let me remind you that she has not finalized her divorce from Kris Humphries. A source said, "They are more sure than ever about their relationship." Kim will be joining Kanye on his summer tour with Jay-Z.
Ashton Kutcher is featured in a new Internet ad for the potato chip brand Popchips. It's actually disguised as an ad for a datign service, and Ashton plays several characters looking for love. One of those characters is an Indian guy named "Raj." And to portray him, Ashton put on brown makeup and adopted the classic fake Indian accent. Obviously, a lot of people are calling it racist. The people at Popchips said, "The ad was created to provoke a few laughs. We hope people can enjoy this in the spirit it was intended."
Fox has announced a new dating competition show, which totally rips off "The Voice" right down to the blind audition and the spinning chairs. Here's how it will work: Eligible bachelors and bachelorettes will "audition" for four single celebrities, who will be seated in the chairs. Like "The Voice" the stars will be faced away from the contestants at the beginning. They will each talk about themselves and if a celebrity likes what they hear, they will pull on their "love handle" and their chair will turn around. Each celeb will choose three potential matches and in additional rounds, they will get down to one match to go on a date with. Fox doesn't seem to care that it totally rips off the NBC show, in fact, they're calling it "The Choice." The show premiers June 7th and the host will be Cat Deely from "So You Think You Can Dance" - interesting pick considering Carson Daly hosts "The Voice. Carson Daly, Cat Deely. Really
Jessica Simpson is already making her new baby work for her. She's signed a $3 million deal to hype Weight Watchers while she loses her baby weight. That's not all she stands to make off little Maxwell Drew. Jessica will reportedly add a bunch of baby and mommy friendly products to her fashion empire, which already grosses up to a billion dollars a year. Jessica takes home between $10 and $20 million a year from that.
Jessica Simpson gave birth yesterday. She and fiancé Eric Johnson now have a healthy baby girl. They named her Maxwell Drew Johnson, and she showed up just three ounces shy of ten pounds! Eric and Jessica's parents, along with Jessica's sister Ashlee, were spotted arriving at the hospital yesterday morning before the delivery. "Maxwell" is Eric's mother's maiden name as well as his middle name. "Drew" is Jessica's mother's maiden name. Jessica announced the birth on her website, saying, "Eric and I are elated to announce the birth of our baby girl, Maxwell Drew Johnson. We are grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. This has been the greatest experience of our lives!!" There's still no word on a wedding date for Jessica and Eric. They've been engaged since November of 2010. Jessica's birthing suite at Cedars-Sinai Hospital is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom private suite and it's costing them $3,784 per day.
There was a four-alarm fire at Tyler Perry's studio lot in Atlanta yesterday. It's not clear if anything was going on there at the time. No injuries were reported, and there's no word on the cause. At least one building on the 30-acre lot had partially collapsed. The fire was mostly under control by 10:00pm. The complex includes several lot houses, numerous sets and soundstages, plus a 400-seat theater. Kim Kardashian was there last year to film scenes for Perry's upcoming movie "The Marriage Counselor".
In the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will get married in a secret wedding on a beach in the Bahamas! With only their six children, the kids' nannies and a few close friends as witnesses, they'll say "I do" near the spot where Angelina scattered her late mother's ashes. The wedding will be held before Angie heads to England to begin filming her next project, the movie "Maleficent" in June. They had planned to tie the knot in a splashy affair before hun¬dreds of guests at their renovated $70 million estate on the French Riviera, Chateau Miraval. They set the date for August 11th, the 50th wedding anniversary of Brad's parents, Bill and Jane. But sources say they began bick¬ering over the details of their big day so Brad came up with a compromise. They'll have two weddings – a pri¬vate ceremony in the Bahamas, and then a big party in France. Everyone will wear white. Brad will don a white linen suit and Angie will wear a white gown with a garland of fresh flowers on her head. Their sons Maddox, Pax and Knox will wear versions of Brad's suit, and their daughters Shiloh, Zahara and Vivienne will wear miniature copies of Angie's dress. Although one source claims Shiloh is putting up a fight because she wants to wear a suit too! The wedding feast will be an international smorgasbord of dishes – with nods to Africa where Shiloh and Zahara were born, Pax's birthplace Vietnam, Maddox's birthplace Cambodia, and France where Viv and Knox were born, said the source. Brad also wants a burger and fries station for him and the kids.
If Simon Cowell fired "X Factor" judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger to bring more credibility to the show, it'd be a surprise if he's interested in hiring 19-year-old Demi Lovato. But hat's exactly what we're hearing. The "Hollywood Reporter" says Demi is, "closing a deal to join Britney Spears on "X Factor" next season. There's still no official word on Britney, but the whole Internet is under the assumption that she's a sure thing. Supposedly, she's getting $15 million for one season. Sources say Simon is interested in Demi because she "will bring a younger audience to the show." But Demi isn't the only rumored judge. Another site claims Miley Cyrus is in the running, but "sources close to Miley" tell E! Online that she doesn't have an offer yet. And finally, there's also talk that Simon is considering Avril Lavigne.
Last night on "Dancing With the Stars" there was a simultaneous Rumba performed by Jaleel White and Roshon Fegan. The judges unanimously decided to save Roshon and his partner Chelsie Hightower. It's the end of the road for Steve Urkel and his partner Kym Johnson.
"Octomom" Nadya Suleman swore she'd never do pornography. But she also promised not to do a lot of other things she's since done like collecting welfare and posing nude. So here's where we are now: Pornography is back on the table. Apparently, Nadya would appear in a skin flick in exchange for a bigger house. "Showbiz Tonight" visited Nadya's home for a piece that aired last night. And she said, "If the opportunity comes up I'll be the first to admit: I'm gonna eat my words! Because all that matters is that I can take care of my family. If it's a job, and it's a well-paying job, and it's gonna allow me to get out of here and move in a very safe, huge home that they deserve, I'm gonna do it." There's a catch, though. While Nadya is open to appearing in pornographic films, she's not interested in participating in any of the action. Because she also said, "I wouldn't even kiss somebody for money. I would not kiss somebody. I wouldn't touch somebody." In related news, Nadya filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy yesterday. She told the court she has $50,000 in assets and between $500,000 and $1 million in debts. Although she was supposed to lose her house yesterday, the bank delayed the auction until next Monday.
"Battleship" hasn't even debuted in the U.S. yet, but that's not stopping Rihanna from continuing her big screen takeover. She has been cast as a villain in the sixth installment of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise. Rihanna will play a dangerous femme fatale alongside regulars Paul Walker and Vin Diesel, and will film her part in London beginning this month. A source says Rihanna's "Fast 6" character "has plenty of bite." Get ready for her big screen debut as "Battleship" hits theaters May 18th.
DJ Khaled missed a gig on Sunday night, but he had a good excuse: His tour bus was engulfed in flames! Seriously. Khaled later posted a video blog, where he talked about the fire as it was happening. The fire looks pretty insane, and firefighters are working to get it under control. Fortunately no one was injured. There's no word on what caused the fire. Naturally, Khaled was a little rattled. In the video, he says he lost jewelry, clothing and "a lot of other valuables". He adds, "Basically what I'm trying to tell you is, this s*** is stressful." Just BEWARE!! There are lots of curse words and they are NOT BLEEPED OUT! Also, it's really windy out there, so it's very noisy.
"Duets" hasn't even started yet on ABC and they've already lost Lionel Ritchie. Apparently, he left because of "scheduling conflicts." But don't worry, they've replaced him with John Legend! "Duets" will begin this summer and will also feature Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke and Jennifer Nettles from Sugarland.
