I need everyone's help. Mission K9 Rescue has an adopted/lost dog that we need to help bring home.

As you can imagine, these four legged war heroes can have PTSD, just like our two legged heroes. This girl is probably scared to death and time is of the essence. They have been looking for her since Saturday.

Darja, Retired Explosive Detection Dog, is a 4 year old Belgian Malinois that went missing from the Shae Terrace Neighborhood in Portsmouth, VA. on Saturday, December 2. 2017 around 6PM

Darja spent her life in a working contract kennel in Kuwait. She retired early due to issues with the kennel that went viral. A retired working dog rescue organization, Mission K9 Rescue brought Darja and 9 others back from Kuwait last July. Darja was adopted by Frankie Rivas in 2016, and Darja has been spoiled ever since.

Frankie had to leave town and Darja was staying with a friend. The friend let her in the backyard and she jumped the fence and disappeared. She was wearing a red collar. Darja is super sweet, but she may be timid.

If you spot her, please call Frankie at 763-257- 9367. Darja and Frankie are so attached that we believe that Darja was looking for her mom when she went missing.

I have been searching AT LEAST 5 hours a day since she went missing.. and we really need more eyes out there, EVERYWHERE!

She has been spotted from PORTSMOUTH NAVAL HOSPITAL to CITY PARK. Attached you can see a map of sightings.

If you see her, follow her but do not approach. Keep an eye on her and get on the ground, at her level, Let her come to YOU. She is friendly but timid and in survival mode.  Also with the weather she's going to take shelter so keep an eye on your property and porches… and most importantly call her mom Frankie immediately. She is terrified and she will run.
