Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis denied all those rumors that their 14-year relationship was in trouble. They lied. Johnny's publicist confirmed yesterday that they have "amicably separated." Johnny and Vanessa started dating in 1998, but they never got married. They have a 13-year-old daughter named Lily-Rose and a 10-year-old son named Jack. Some people are blaming the split on Johnny's "Rum Diaries" co-star Amber Heard, who just happens to enjoy playing for both teams.
Alec Baldwin and his young fiancée Hilaria Thomas went to City Hall in Manhattan yesterday to get a marriage license. And on their way out, Alec marked the happy occasion by attacking the paparazzi. Alec went after "New York Daily News" photographer Marcus Santos, and the pictures are pretty priceless. Of course, when it comes to the details, Santos and Baldwin have very different accounts. Santos was among several photographers outside the building. He says Baldwin came out looking irate, and told everyone to step back, which they did. But that didn't pacify him. Baldwin allegedly grabbed one of the other photographers, and Santos said, "Don't touch him." That's when Baldwin went after Santos. He says, "I knew he was going to attack me. I stepped back, and he kept coming. "He comes after me, starts shoving and punching me, one time, right in the chin. And then he started shoving me, and pushing me. Then he goes the other way." Another photographer who witnessed the chaos says, "He was like crazy, you know? You're going to get a marriage license, you should be happy. What happened with this guy?" Baldwin's rep gave his side of the story, "As Alec and his fiancée were leaving City Hall, a 'civilian' walking in front of Alec positioned himself to obstruct the view of a photographer aggressively trying to shoot the couple. The photographer was clearly frustrated, pushed past the bystander and assaulted Alec with his camera. There were no punches thrown, and any subsequent physical contact was simply Alec protecting himself." Alec also addressed the situation on Twitter yesterday. He said, "A 'photographer' almost hit me in the face with his camera this morning. #allpaparazzishouldbewaterboarded." But then he added, "I suppose if the offending paparazzi was wearing a hoodie and I shot him, it would all blow over."
Drake and 2 Chainz have dropped the visuals for "No Lie." In the video, the two rappers do their thing in black and white, as scantily clad women take lie detector tests and have paint dripped on them (progressive!). What makes the video interesting, however, is the timing. Drake is still dealing with the fallout from a nightclub brawl with Chris Brown, during which bottles were thrown and body guards and innocent bystanders suffered minor injuries. The fight, so far, has been deemed as a battle over Rihanna, the artist they've both dated. But there's the rub: Drake's verse on "No Lie" includes this thinly veiled and hyper-aggressive dig at a certain Grammy winner. For the record, Rihanna has won five Grammys from a total of 17 nominations. Here's part of his verse:
Aww that look like what’s her name, chances are it’s whats her name
Chances are if she was actin up then I f----d her once and never f----d again
She could have a Grammy, I still treat her ass like a nominee
Just need to know what that p---y like so one time is fine with me
Demi Moore was spotted cuddling with Joe Mangianello in today's Hot Couple Alert! Joe plays Alcide Herveaux on "True Blood" and the hot firefigher in "Magic Mike." They were seen at the afterparty for the premiere of Adam Sandler's movie "That's My Boy." A source said, "They looked amazing together. Demi was getting a lot more attention than a lot of the younger girls in the room, and Joe was seen waiting for her before they went off and hung out together at the party. They had amazing chemistry." Demi hasn't had an easy time of it since Ashton Kutcher was reportedly unfaithful last year, which led to their end of their marriage. Demi was soon reportedly in rehab to deal with her issues, but it looks like she is finally turning a corner. Demi and Joe first met when they were both cast in "Magic Mike," but Demi had to drop out.
