Robin Williams was found dead in his home near San Francisco yesterday morning of an apparent suicide. He was 63. His rep said he'd been battling "severe depression". Robin also battled drug and alcohol addiction for years. Earlier this year he checked into rehab to "fine-tune" his sobriety. He won five Grammys, two Emmys, was a four-time Oscar nominee, and won Best Supporting Actor for "Good Will Hunting". His career highlights include "Dead Poets Society", "Good Morning, Vietnam", "Hook", "Aladdin", "The Birdcage" and the "Night at the Museum" movies. Speaking of those, Williams will be back onscreen as Teddy Roosevelt in "Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb" this Christmas. When he went in for the "Happy Days" spin off "Mork and Mindy" they asked him to take a seat as though he was an alien so he did a headstand on the chair. He also improvised so many of his "Aladdin" lines that the movie didn't qualify for Best Adapted Screenplay and he was only paid $75,000 for his role as the Genie.
Drake made a no-no. He invited Kevin Durant to join the Toronto Rapters when he becomes a free agent in 2016. Kevin currently plays with the Oklahoma City Thunder. This all seems harmless, but technically it's a violation of the NBA's anti-tampering rules, because Drake is an official "global ambassador" for the team. The Raptors have been fined $25,000.
