A 30-year-old woman committed suicide in her car in front of Paula Abdul's house on Tuesday evening. And it turns out that she tried out for "American Idol" in 2006, and was obsessed with Paula. Sources say she apparently overdosed on some type of pills. 30-year-old Paula Goodspeed may have been stalking Paula Abdul for as long as 17 years although they never met face-to-face, except when she tried out for "Idol". Authorities say that prior to her death, Goodspeed sent Paula packages and threatening letters. Neighbors say they've seen Goodspeed's car in front of Paula Abdul's house frequently over the years, and police have even been called to deal with her. The last time was this past July. There's also word that Goodspeed attempted to overdose in front of Paula's house once before, several months ago. Paula Abdul was not home for either suicide attempt. The license plate of the car Goodspeed killed herself in read, "ABL LV" (which I guess stands for "Abdul Love") and there was a picture of Paula hanging from the rearview mirror. There was also a picture on her MySpace page (Which hadn't been updated since April of 2007.) of Paula Abdul licking her lips with a caption that read, quote, "My secret crush, shhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" Paula Abdul released the following statement yesterday, "I am deeply shocked and saddened by what transpired yesterday. My heart and prayers go out to her family." Here's video of Goodspeed's appearance on Season Five of "American Idol" two years ago.
So much for the most recent Disney naked picture scandal. US magazine's website reports that the "stolen nude photos" of Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon that hit the internet over the weekend were all just a publicity stunt. Jonathan Jaxson, the founder of his own gossip site site, told a CBS TV station that he and Adrienne leaked the story and the racy shots "purely to get attention." According to Jaxson, they faked the scandal "to juice" things up, adding, "what better way to do that than to say that nude pictures could have been stolen from her laptop."
Chris Brown recently bought his girlfriend Rihanna over $1,000 worth of delicates during a stop at Sydney store Ariane Lingerie. The outlet is also reporting that Brown has signed on to launch his own line of lingerie.
Suge Knight is bankrupt and desperate these days so it's not surprising that he's suing Kanye West for a shoot out in 2005. Back in August of 05, Kanye was hosting an "MTV Video Music Awards" pre-party at the Shore Club in Miami. Suge attended the party but it ended badly for him, when he was shot in the leg by an unidentified assailant. Suge filed a lawsuit against Kanye in September, claiming that Kanye should be held responsible because his lax security allowed the shooter to smuggle his gun into the party. They apparently patted down some people and not others and a gun got into the party. But there's another component to this lawsuit. During the post-shooting insanity, Suge misplaced a $135,000 diamond stud earring. While he was awaiting medical attention, he says that someone who claimed to work for the club picked it up, but he never saw the earring again. So in addition to covering his medical bills, Suge is asking Kanye to either produce that earring or compensate him for the loss. The lawsuit asks for damages for, "the loss of use and enjoyment of the earring."
