I will be holding an event at peabodys with in the next 3 weeks---it will showcase local djs and help them network with each other. Without the DJ there is no club, music, dancing or artist. So I took Mrs Shag aka Nikki to NYC this weekend for a quick get a way....She got to shop at SoHo and walk by the craziness at Dash. I got to see some friends and just hang with my wife. Sometimes you gotta just go and not worry about whats behind you...we dont get to do this enough because of my work schedule and Mr Brody Stokes.

So March 25,26 I am taking my lovely wife to NYC for our anniversary. She will get to shop and have some fun. Its been awhile since Nikki and I have had a vacation so this will be fun. That same weekend my brotha James McAdoo will be playing in the McDonalds All American Game. Busy weekend but all fun.

What you have done for Jesse Evans (my oldest of three great sons) has really helped him and our family out. In so many ways his good attitude and his good grades are mainly due to his dedication to his music and from the support you show him.
I just wanted to thank you personally but your are always so busy, but you'll see me at most of the expos, locals shows, and obviously my sons shows I'll get my chance to shake your hand. Keep the shows coming we will keep selling tickets (we are good at that) Hoping his stage presence will impress you tuesday and thursday night hes been working hard and your oppinion meens alot.     I am the mother of The Jolley Brothers and I feel like this note to you is long over due. I have watched my boys and their creativity with music for over ten years now.  When they were younger they were always "practicing" with their band in the basement and it just went on from there.  Chris eventually developed other interests but Matt was all about the music.

    I remember a few months ago my son Matt's apartment caught on fire. He lost so much of his hard work in equipment, CDs, etc. Most would have given up. He came to live with me and the day after the fire I heard Matt up at 3a.m. I asked him if he was ok and he said "I'm not giving up mom. I'm going to the station and I am going to wait until Shaggy gets there. I am going to give him my cd...a bunch of them, and I am going to make a better life for my son".

    The reason for this e-mail is to thank you Shaggy. You could have just shut the door in his face but you never did. You have been behind them since day one and I just want to tell you, as a mother, how much I appreciate you. Thank you for all you have done and all you continue to do. You really are a great man and my family won't ever forget that.
I was 14 years old when i first got the chance to meet Dj Law. He came to haygood skating center to host a party becuz Shadows nightclub was closed for painting. I was super nervous when him and Big B walked in because I use to listen to them everyday in the afternoon. He came up to the stage grabbed the mic and was the coolest. He gave me some exclusive promo cd's and I remember going to Independence Middle School the next day and showing everyone in school. Fast forward to 2010, Law was my mentor in radio, music, and business. There was never a time when I would ask Law a question he wouldn't help me or give me true advice.
He came to my music expo and was so impressed he told me backstage that he would be there for every single one if I needed em and I laughed saying "I need ya for the planning and the event". We bounced music off each other and would talk about music for awhile.
When I get the news on sunday I was in LA working with a local pop/rock group named Rekapse and Timbaland and all I could think about was flying home to be with my family. It's not sitting well with me because Law wasn't just a Local Radio DJ, Law was the nicest, down to earth and most well rounded individual I've ever met. I've been in this business almost 11 years and to think I got more years to come without my friend Law beside me is something that will just take some time. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, Big B, Pavar and all the staff at WOWI and Clear Channel.
Another quick story was when I got the Timbaland and Magoo cd and the Boodah Brothers had a interlude on it I remember calling all my friends and showing em because I thought it was so cool local dj's got on a national cd. That was in 1997. so dope right? I agree
I will miss you DJ Law but I promise your name wont be forgotten. Feb 26, 27 is the next music expo and its dedicated to you and your family.

Well we offically have 3 weeks until we welcome Baby Brody to the world.
