Remember the Boston Mayor, Thomas Menino, who came to the defense of gay marriage rights after chick-fil-a released their prejudice statements? Well he's back! Menino has now turned his attention to Trojan. He is currently trying to stop the Trojan company from distributing free adult toys on City Hall Plaza because he feels that it is "an inappropriate and irresponsible use" for the location. A member of the Mayor's administration contacted the promotions company with a letter stating,
"I would tell you in the strongest terms allowable that I feel this is an inappropriate and irresponsible use for the plaza," wrote the administration. "City Hall Plaza provides access to City Hall for constituents from all walks of life including many families and children."
The very same promotional event tied up traffic for hours in New York back in August. And since the City Hall Plaza is public property, there's nothing stopping the promotional event from having a repeat performance in the near future. Who knew vibrators could cause such a stir?
