In August a judge ordered a man to repair his wife's dryer as apart of the divorce settlement, and that's just what the 49-year-old fire fighter decided to do! Dean Weaks of Clinton Massachusetts fixed the dryer and texted his wife telling her to "test it out". Doreen Weeks reported turning the dryer on, only to hear a "Tick, Tick.. BOOM" noise as it exploded. She suffered severe burns on her legs, and the explosion blew her tiny dog out of the SECOND-FLOOR window of the house! Dean was arrested and charged with four counts of assault. It is believed that he bobby-trapped the dryer to kill his ex-wife in order to keep the house for himself. Dean pled NOT GUILTY to all charges but things aren't looking well for him. In addition to threatening his wife to keep quiet about the explosion while she was ON HER WAY TO THE HOSPITAL, Dean also demanded that his co-workers lie if they were questioned about the event. He is the newest addition to my list of the World's Dumbest Criminals!
By the way the Dog survived and is doing just fine!
