Last night on "X Factor" in a lengthy two-hour finale, the girl group Fifth Harmony was eliminated early on leaving the winner as either Carly Rose Sonenclar or Tate Stevens. Country boy Tate won the $5 million contract but the drama has been all around the last night of performances. There's some talk that LeAnn Rimes was wasted when she performed with Carly Roseon Wednesday night, but she says, "In my 18 years of performing, I have never been anything but professional onstage." Well Carly’s family is mad at LeAnn for trashing their daughter's "X Factor" performance. Sources connected with the family say that the 13-year-old girl's mother is livid that Rimes would dare say Carly Rose was "nervous and had trouble hitting the right notes" when she sang "How Do I Live." Carly Rose's mother and other relatives are telling people they can't believe LeAnn threw their daughter under the bus, and that it was clear - Carly Rose was a pro and even out-performed LeAnn at her own song.
Life & Style magazine claims that John Mayer is cheating on Katy Perry and has been from the start. Supposedly, he has a "sex buddy" he's been seeing for two years and he's still hooking up with her. They meet frequently, just for sex dates. They also sext each other almost constantly.
Simon Cowell has confirmed that he is dating Carmen Electra, but he insisted in a recent interview that the relationship isn’t serious, "She’s not my girlfriend. We’re just dating." They worked together on "Britain’s Got Talent" when she was a guest judge.
Madonna freaked out on a fan before her concert in Chile Wednesday night because they were smoking a cigarette during her sound check. It was an open-air theater, and apparently some smoke blew up in Madonna's face. She yelled, "No smoking! If you're going to smoke cigarettes, I'm not doing a show. If you don't care about me, I don't care about you. All right, you wanna play that game? I'm not kidding. I can't sing if you smoke. If you love me, then don't smoke! You're looking right at me, and you're smoking cigarettes, like I'm a stupid f***ing idiot." She stormed off the stage, but the show later went on as planned.
The status of Rihanna and Chris Brown's relationship remains uncertain, but last we heard, it sounded like they'd broken up again. And now there's more evidence. Rihanna posted some pictures of a brand new Porsche that was purchased for her by Jay-Z and the Roc Nation crew. This car is worth between $150,000 and $200,000. But it was probably worth it to Jay, because sources say he bought it for Rihanna as a reward for breaking up with Chris.
Sources say Selena Gomez wants to date Niall Horan from One Direction to see if maybe it'll help her get over Justin Bieber once and for all. But that relationship is apparently not completely over yet. A source says, "Justin cries over the phone and she takes him back again." Meanwhile, another source says Justin may be spending time with a Victoria's Secret model.
You won't have to wait long at all for the "Anchorman" sequel. It's due out on December 20th, 2013! That’s literally one year from today. Of course, many of us have been waiting for it since the first one came out in 2004, but I digress. The Associated Press has named Adele their "Entertainer of the Year" even though she didn't release a new album or tour this year. Basically, she recorded the new James Bond them, popped out a kid and sat around watching "21" continue to sell like crazy. The AP says she ended up with way more votes than the next few names: Taylor Swift, "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James, "Gangnam Style" singer Psy and the cast of "Twilight". The "award" is supposed to go to "the person who had the most influence on entertainment and culture in 2012." The AP has been recognizing an Entertainer of the Year for six years now. The previous winners were: Lady Gaga in 2011, Betty White in 2010, Taylor Swift in 2009, Tina Fey in 2008 and Stephen Colbert in 2007.

Bronson Pelletier, who played a werewolf named Jared in the "Twilight" movies, has been arrested twice this month. Monday, he was arrested for public intoxication at Los Angeles International Airport when he urinated by the gate after he was removed from a plane. And on December 8th, he was popped for possession of coke and meth, after causing trouble at a West Hollywood bar.
Ke$ha's"Die Young" has been disappearing from the airwaves in the wake of Friday's school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. Believe it or not, she isn't defending her song. In fact, she says she never wanted to record it in the first place. She Tweeted, "I had my very own issue with 'die young' cause I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO. I'm so so so sorry for anyone who has been affected by this tragedy."
Cassadee Pope won Season 3 of "The Voice." Terry McDermott finished second and Nicholas David 3rd. The finale included performances by Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Kelly Clarkson, the Killers, Smokey Robinson, Avril Lavigne and Peter Frampton. Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will sit out next season, making room for Usher and Shakira.
We already knew Channing Tatum was the Sexiest Man Alive, but earlier this year "People" magazine confirmed it. But he just got sexier if you can imagine that. He and his wife Jenna Dewan are expecting their first child. No other details were released, other than that Jenna is due "next year."
NBC executives have begun "quietly" exploring the option of giving "The Tonight Show" to Jimmy Fallon when Jay Leno's contract expires in 2014. But the question is: Will Leno finally be willing to leave at that point? And if not, would NBC actually force him out or will they just cave and keep him around until he's ready to walk away? For real this time. But Conan O'Brien had a longstanding arrangement with NBC and Leno to take over "The Tonight Show" in 2009 and we all remember how that worked out. Plus, there's this: David Letterman’s contract is also up in 2014 and apparently there's a "long unsaid understanding throughout the TV industry" that Leno won't step down before Dave does.
HBO is working with Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, New York to create a series of "Game of Thrones"-themed beers. The first one will be called "Iron Throne Blonde Ale", and it'll be available starting in March in time for the third season premiere on March 31st. The second "Game of Thrones" brew will follow in the fall, and two more will be introduced in 2014.
Alicia Keys has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit. Songwriter Earl Shuman claims "Girl on Fire" sounds too similar Eddie Holman's 1970 single"(Hey There) Lonely Girl", which he wrote. It seems like just an attempt at a cash-grab though, because the similarities are pretty slight. It all started with a blog, which reported, "In the middle of the song, Alicia sings a couplet or so from Eddie Holman’s 1970 classic song. The song was written by Leon Carr and Earl Shuman, who are both gone to rock 'n' roll heaven." Shuman contacted the writer to tell him he was still alive and apparently that's when he decided to try to squeeze something out of Alicia. It's probably going to be an up-hill battle for him, though.
Back in August, Trey Songz was arrested at a strip club in New York. He's accused of assaulting a woman by throwing a wad of money, which hit her in the eye. However, the woman was not a stripper. She says she was there with her husband when she says Trey threw a wad of cash at her. She adds, "I had to walk around a whole week with a black eye." She and her husband were there for Trey’s release party for his new album and had paid $700 to sit in the V.I.P. room with his crew. She says Trey became upset with her when she took a picture of him with her cell phone. She says, "He tried to delete the picture, but he didn't know how to use my phone, it was insulting that he just threw something. He was verbally disrespectful as well, he embarrassed me in front of everyone in the club." Trey hasn't commented.
ABC is developing a sitcom based on Justin Bieber's early life. It's a "family-centric comedy that revolves around a future pop star's unconventional upbringing and his awkward teenage years." A stalker was arrested early Friday morning on Taylor Swift’s property in Nashville. The guy told police he was Taylor's boyfriend and was there to celebrate her birthday, which was Thursday. Taylor wasn't home at the time. And here's the real scary part: Jacob Kulke also said he was communicating with someone in the house through social media and that after his release, he planned to "continue to have contact" with them. That makes it a little scary knowing that he has no intention of leaving her alone.
Kelly Clarkson didn't beat around the bush on Saturday when she Tweeted, "I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night! I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever." That man is Brandon Blackstock, the son of Kelly's manager Narvel Blackstock. Narvel is married to Reba McEntire.

Deadmaus Tweeted, "I can't wait for Christmas so Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?" Justin Bieber was the target of a murder plot. I wish this was the Big Fat Rumor of the Day, but it’s true. A prison inmate in New Mexico hired a hitman to kill Bieber and his bodyguard in November after his Madison Square Garden. Dana Martin, a New Mexico inmate who is serving life for the rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl, actually hatched a plan to have Justin killed and mutilated. But he ended up foiling his own plan. Martin wanted the hitmen to strangle the victims with paisley ties, which is apparently Martin's thing, then cut off their genitalia with pruning shears. But Martin, who's obsessed with Bieber and even has a tattoo of him on his leg, must have gotten cold feet because he told the cops about the plot. And here's an interesting detail: Martin promised the two men $2,500 for each testicle they collected.
Lindsay Lohan’s probation was officially revoked yesterday. A January 15th hearing has been set to determine whether she'll go to jail. She could get hit with up to 245 days behind bars. Lindsay was not formally charged for lying to police about her car accident last June. That's expected to happen at the January 15th hearing.
Anne Hathaway discussed her little wardrobe malfunction on the "Today" show yesterday morning with Matt Lauer. She said, "It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them." She also said the photo was disappointing for two reasons, "I was very sad that we live in an age when someone takes a picture of someone in a vulnerable moment and rather than delete it and do the decent thing, sells it. And I'm sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies sexuality of unwilling participants, which brings us back to "Les Mis", because that's what my character is. She is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child because she has nothing and there's no social safety net."

Lindsay Lohan will be arraigned this morning for allegedly lying to police about her car accident this past June. It's also possible that her probation will be revoked, which could send her to jail for eight months. Lindsay isn't required to be at the hearing, and she's not expected there since she is currently living in New York. The probation issue is totally up to the judge, but sources say prosecutors are out for blood, and they're recommending Lindsay get the book thrown at her. She's charged with three crimes: Providing false information to a police officer, resisting a police officer and reckless driving.
AskMen.com has released its annual list of the 99 Most Desirable Women in the World. And this year's big winner is "Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence. The website says, "Overall, there's a sense that she's a little more authentic than other actors. She's fresh because we haven't seen her all over the gossip pages for the past three or four years." Jennifer was 47th last year. On the other end of the spectrum is Kim Kardashian, who dropped 90 places from #8 last year to #98 this year. The site says, "She is petering off and basically dropping off the list at this point even as she's become more visible." Think she might be regretting getting the new Breezy ink from last week? However, the couple have already kissed and made up since she posted a picture on Twitter of herself lying in his arms. She captioned the picture: 'Damn....... I miss my n***a.' Now that's romantic.
Ice-T went off on his wife Coco on Twitter after some PHOTOS hit the Internet of her posing suggestively with an unknown rapper named AC.9. Ice said the pictures were disrespectful and in bad taste, and made him "look and feel like s***." Coco later apologized, saying, "Ice is right, the pics I took with this man were in poor taste and I disrespected my husband however the pics were the only thing that happened." I'd love to say they are innocent, but the part that gets me is that Coco and AC.9 are in THREE different outfits - this wasn't just a case of them "being silly" one night.
Beyonce is reteaming with Pepsi for a branding deal that will coincide with her performance during the Super Bowl halftime show. She will be paid $50 million! She has been in ads for Pepsi since 2002. Pepsi will sponsor a variety of creative projects and promote her 5th album.
Lindsay Lohan spent the latter half of last week running around with The Wanted. After attending the Philly concert on Wednesday, she did indeed travel with the band to Boston, where she and Max George checked into a hotel together. Then she was out clubbing with Max Friday night, after the band's performance at Madison Square Garden. Max isn't admitting they're a couple, but he did say that traveling with them kept Lindsay out of trouble for the week. Wendy Williams says she's a Beyonce fan, but that didn't stop her from slamming her on her show Wednesday. It was pretty harsh. She basically said Beyoncé sounds dumb. Wendy was talking about Beyoncé's upcoming HBO documentary, and she said she's planning on watching it, but with the closed captioning on so she can understand what she's saying. Wendy said, "I am a Beyoncé fan. I'm going to be watching this documentary, because fortunately, one of the TVs in our kitchen has closed-captioning, so I'll be able to understand what she says. You know Beyoncé can't talk. Beyoncé sounds like she's got a fifth grade education. She can't talk. I just said I was a fan, but we have to call a spade a spade. Honestly. Rick Ross has canceled two shows in North Carolina this weekend after getting online death threats. Rick has had an ongoing beef with a group called the Gangster Disciples. They're upset because he "dishonored" their leader in a rap lyric and they believe he's been using their gang symbols, including the Star of David, in a disrespectful way. It’s obviously starting to get to him.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bundchen, welcomed their second child last night. The baby girl’s name is Vivian. She joins their 2 year-old son Benjamin. Brady will play Monday night when the Patriots host the Houston Texans.
Rihanna is the executive producer on an upcoming fashion competition reality series. It's called"Styled to Rock", and it will air on the Style Network sometime next year. Rihanna will handpick 12 amateur designers to be on the show, along with three mentors, who will guide them each week. Taylor Swift and Harry Styles are no longer hiding the fact that they're together. Taylor and Harry hung out after the One Direction Madison Square Garden concert on Monday. A little while later they took their two-person party to Harry's hotel. Photos surfaced of them holding hands and walking in at around 4:00 A.M. Eminem’s 17 year-old daughter Hailie Tweeted "Dear @taylorswift13, please stop whoring around with every guy you see. We all know you're only doing it so you can make another album." Ouch! Not only has Beyonce been back in the recording studio lately, but it sounds like we’ll get new music from Sasha Fierce even sooner than we thought — potentially along with some very special collaborations. It shouldn’t surprise us to see that she has been in the studio with her husband, Jay-Z, but we have learned she has been making beautiful music…with Justin Timberlake as well! The three of them were spotted leaving a NYC recording studio together and we can only imagine what they came up with during that session. As far as when we can finally hear the new music from Beyonce, she is said to be dropping her fifth solo album before her big Super Bowl performance, which will take place February 3rd. This will be the first music since the birth of baby Blue Ivy and her 2011 album "4."
On the "Today" show yesterday, Matt Damon was there to promote his new movie, "Promiseland" but Matt Lauer roped him into some viewer advice segment. Someone wrote in and said that he was distressed because his girlfriend, "tosses salad with her hands without washing them and tastes everything with her fingers." Barbara Walters has revealed that Honey Boo Boo made her list of the year's "Most Fascinating People" even though she knows you may not approve. She says, "A lot of people will say, 'For heaven's sake, this is ridiculous, this is a child at five or six years old entering beauty contests. But the relationship between Alana and her mother, it's very touching. It's a very sweet, loving story." Barbara's "Most Fascinating People" special airs on ABC next Wednesday. She'll have 10 selections, and she previously announced seven of the others. They are: One Direction, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L. James, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane, Ben Affleck and Hillary Clinton.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are expecting their first child, but she's in the hospital with a severe form of morning sickness. It sounds like she and the baby are going to be okay though. The baby would officially become third in line for the British throne, behind Prince Charles and William. Prince Harry is now fourth. Kate will remain in the hospital for several days, after which she'll require, "a period of rest." There's potential for harm to the mother and child, but this doesn't seem to be one of those cases. An interesting side note, though: Some experts say the condition is associated with twins. There's no word if Kate is carrying what the Brits call "an heir and a spare" at the same time.
An awesome video of DMX spontaneously performing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" has hit the Internet. He’s visiting a station in NYC, but he's part singing, part rapping, part reciting, and he even provides his own percussion. Classic!
Katt Williams is at it again. We told you yesterday how he led police on a motorcycle chase and slapped a Target cashier. Well, this past Sunday was just as eventful. Katt was arrested following a fight at a Seattle bar, during which he threatened people with a pool cue. Police say he also followed a family outside of the bar where he threw a cigarette at a woman as she got into her car, hitting her in the eye. Then he threw a rock at the car. He was bailed out yesterday morning by Suge Knight. He managed Katt’s tour this year.
Nick Lachey may be a new dad and a former boy bander, but he got thrown out of an NFL game on Sunday! Nick and his friends allegedly got aggressive with a Chargers fan who says Nick -- and his buddies, all die-hard Bengals fans -- had been talking trash to him about the jersey he was wearing for most of the 2nd half of the game. The Chargers fan says Lachey made one particularly offensive comment about the jersey that crossed the line, and that's when the fan's wife shot back to Nick, "Well, he lasted longer than your boy band." I guess that’s when Nick flipped out and called the wife an "f***ing b****" along with "a host of other profanities." Tensions exploded and Nick lunged towards him, grabbed him by throat and shoved him to the ground. The fight can be seen in the footage obtained by TMZ. Stadium security quickly responded and ejected Nick and his buddies. The Chargers fans were not asked to leave. After the incident, Nick went to Twitter and bragged about the situation saying, "Just got kicked out of the chargers stadium and couldn't be prouder! Go Cincy Bengals."
Justin Bieber didn't really think this one through. During recent show, a fan threw her phone onstage and Justin picked it up. Instead of immediately giving it back, he decided to have some fun with it. He took photos of himself and the crowd with it, which caused the girls in the audience to go crazy! Well, there's just one problem, a bunch of girls started throwing their phones onstage, too. Justin playfully scolded the crowd saying, "Hey, no! We're not just going to keep throwing cell phones up here, and expecting everyone to just get pictures of me. No. That's not how it works. I'll never do that again." He even kicked some of the phones away, but it doesn’t look like that was causing any damage to the phones.
Security footage from a Sacramento Target store shows comedianKatt Williams slapping a male cashier across the face last Sunday. There's no word why he did it, because there's no sound on the video. But after he hit the guy, Katt wheeled away on a motorized scooter. Earlier in the day, Katt led police on a high-speed chase on a three-wheeled motorcycle. Cops didn't catch him, but they filed a charge of felony evasion against him.
"X Factor" host Mario Lopez tied the knot with Courtney Mazza during a beachfront wedding in Mexico. The ceremony took place Saturday at the home of "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis. 150 guests attended. It airs on TLC December 8. The couple has a 2-year-old daughter.
"Bachelorette" stars Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are the second couple in the show's 24 seasons to tie the knot. The wedding took place Saturday in Pasadena. Chris Harrison officiated. It will be televised on ABC on Saturday, December 16. In season 1, Trista Rehn married firefighter Ryan Sutter in 2003.
After their plans for a June 2011 wedding went down in flames, "Playboy" founder Hugh Hefner and playmate Crystal Harris are engaged, again. This time, they plan to get married on New Year's Eve. Only close friends and family are invited. He is 86, she is 26, that’s 60 years her senior. Wow.
Producers of NBC’s "America's Got Talent" are looking for local talent to be on the show. Auditions are scheduled December 16 at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel. To pre-register, go to the show’s website and click on Norfolk in the list of audition cities.
