It’s been all over the news since Wednesday, but in case you didn’t hear, Steve Jobs, Apple founder and former CEO, died yesterday. He was 56. Apple announced his death without giving a specific cause. Although we knew he battled pancreatic cancer for a long time. He died peacefully, according to a statement from family members. He and a high school friend started Apple in his parents’ garage in 1976. He also founded Pixar. He was an innovative genius who changed the lives of many people. He will be missed.
The network that was once home to Will Smith and LL Cool J is hoping to turn Snoop Dogg into a comedy lead as well. NBC has bought a series from Snoop. He will produce AND star in the new sitcom. It seems like Snoop has been bit by the acting bug lately, he was just recently cast in the title role for the movie “The Legend of Fillmore Slim.” In the new sitcom, he’s the father of a group of unruly kids. He and his real-life family starred in the E! series “Snoop Doggs Fatherhood.”The Black Eyed Peas have bowed out of the Michael Jackson tribute show that’s going down Saturday in Wales at the Cardiff’s Millenium Stadium. Still scheduled to perform are Cee-Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Smokey Robinson, Alien Ant Farm, Jennifer Hudson, Gladys Knight and Beyonce’, who’ll appear via satellite. Rihanna’s “We Found Love” has just entered the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. It’s her 20th song to make it into the Top 10…and she achieved that feat faster than any other solo artist. She did it in six years and four months, which beats MADONNA, who did it in six years and nine months. Go Rihanna!
Justin Bieber’s Christmas album “Under The Mistletoe” will include a duet with Mariah Carey. They’re singing a new version of her holiday song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Mariah posted a video on her Twitter confirming this.
