The first round of performers for the Grammys were announced yesterday. Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Madonna and Eric Church were listed. But then we heard AC/DC was going to hit the stage. Okay then! Ariana is nominated for two awards, Sheeran is up for three, and Church has four nominations. The Grammys go down at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8th. They'll air live on CBS.
Chris Brown is tired of dodging bullets at nightclubs. Word has it Chris "ordered" his manager to cancel upcoming appearances and shows at any venue that could be considered "too hood." Over the weekend, Chris made an appearance at a San Jose club where five people were shot. The next night, he performed at a nicer place in San Diego and said on Instagram, "No more n***a parties! Only this type sh**!"
Naya Rivera from "Glee" was on "The View" yesterday and decided to admit that she does NOT bathe daily. She says, "I feel like showering more than once a day or every day is such a white people thing." She added, "A dermatologist says you are only supposed to shower once or twice every three days, so I'm right on the mark." She will be guest-hosting again today.
Nominees for the Golden Raspberry Awards were announced last night, and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" leads the way with seven Razzie nods, including Worst Picture. Kirk Cameron's "Saving Christmas" and "The Legend of Hercules" were a close second, with six nominations apiece. And, of course, Adam Sandler is nominated again for Worst Actor. This year, the Razzies are trying something new: rewarding positive achievement. They have a category called the Redeemer Award, where they celebrate actors who've gone from "sucky" to "success" - for example, Ben Affleck is up for it, after going from "Gigli" to "Argo" and "Gone Girl" and Jennifer Aniston was nominated for going from being a four-time Razzie nominee to the critically-acclaimed movie "Cake".
Zooey Deschanel from "New Girl" is expecting her first child this summer. The dad is Zooey's boyfriend, producer Jacob Pechenik. They've been together since mid-2014 so, not even a year. He's 42, she's 34. Zooey's sister Emily and her husband David Hornsby are also expecting a baby. They have a 3 year old son Henry at home.
"Dancing With the Stars" has lost another familiar face. We already told you that judge Len Goodman is leaving and now Derek Hough has confirmed he won't be back for the 20th season this spring. Derek has won five mirror ball trophies and competed in 14 seasons. He will be busy in a production at Radio City Music Hall.
