A few weeks ago 51-year-old Gail Castle of Manteca, California recently took a car on a test drive to a bank so that she could rob it!! She showed up at an 83-year-old man's house and asked if she could buy his 1994 Chrysler 5th Avenue. Although the man hadn't previously listed it for sale he, he agreed to letting her test drive the vehicle to the Bank of America.
Gail went into the bank and handed the teller a robbery note, and after scoring $2,000 she went back to the car and asked the old man to drive. Once the man pulled into his driveway, cops SWARMED the car with guns drawn. Fortunately they were able to quickly put together what happened. The man was released, but poor Gail wasn't as lucky. She attempted to run and was hit with a TASER in her left breast then detained by the police.
Gail has been charged with bank robbery, resisting arrest, elder abuse, and STUPIDITY. Bummer.
