Monday March 2

Gunshots rang out during a college event headlined by T.I. and Jeezy and the crowd scattered in chaos. The guys were playing at a day party in Charlotte when someone in the crowd fired what sounded like 2 shots. Police say two people suffered non-life threatening injuries and both were hospitalized. Cops say no one's been arrested. They do not have a suspect yet. Although a T.I. song was playing when the shots were fired, we're told it was just a track. T.I. had already performed and was not on stage. Jeezy and Yo Gotti (who had also performed) were in the V.I.P. section at the time of the shooting. The show was an event to celebrate the C.I.A.A. basketball tournament.

Kelly Osbourne is leaving "Fashion Police", and everyone is assuming it's because Giuliana Rancic insulted her friend Zendaya during their post-Oscar show. Giuliana said Zendaya's dreadlocks probably smelled like patchouli and weed which suddenly became about race, not about the fact that hippies and stoners of all colors wear dreads. Well, Kelly was particularly upset, because Zendaya is a friend. She threatened to leave, so Giuliana issued a completely pandering, over-the-top apology. But Kelly is leaving anyway. E! says she's leaving to "pursue other opportunities." NeNe Leaks and Khloe Kardashian are among those rumored to replace her.

Justin Bieber turned 21 yesterday, and he celebrated by partying on a private Caribbean island that he'd rented out. Naturally, a bunch of his friends were there with him. There are photos and videos online of him partying shirtless with models (Hailey Baldwin and Yovanna Ventura). The festivities included champagne and sparklers. Justin Tweeted, "Grateful to be alive!!! Love u!!! 21. I love everybody!"

Ludacris is going to be a father for the third time. Over the weekend, he announced that his wife Eudoxie is pregnant. He posted a photo of him kissing her belly ON INSTAGRAM, and captioned it: "Beautiful day on the beach." This will be their first child together.

Michelle Rodriguez was asked about a rumor that she might be the next Green Lantern, her response was pretty unexpected. She said, "That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Because of this whole 'minorities in Hollywood' thing it's so stupid. It's like, you know, stop stealing all the white people's superheroes. Like, make up your own." Of course she had to apologize. She posted a video on Facebook explaining herself, "I think that there are many cultures in Hollywood that are not white and that can come up with their own mythology. I'm just saying that instead of trying to turn a girl character into a guy or instead of trying to turn a white character into a black character or a Latin character, I think that people should stop being lazy and, you know, that people should actually make an effort in Hollywood to develop their own mythology."

Drake has 14 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, which ties The Beatles' record for the most songs on the chart at one time. The Beatles record has stood for 51 years. That's an accomplishment, but it's also a sign of the times. When the Beatles set the record, they had five of the Top 10 songs on the chart, but Drake doesn't crack the Top 15. Also, Drake is just a featured act on four of his 14 songs.

Don't Believe It? Just Watch!

"Uptown Funk" is one of the hottest tunes in the country.

It's one of those songs that gets your blood pumping and toes tapping.

Until now.

Thanks to Alex Bove and the Dancing Grandpas, "Uptown Funk" got slowed down - well, a little bit.

It's called "Oldtown Cover," and everyone in the video is at least 65 years old...

So some of the moves are way slower than the Bruno Mars version. Naturally.

Live Long and Prosper

Leonard Nimoy, best known for playing the iconic Mister Spock in a variety of Star Trek movies and TV shows, passed away on Friday at the age of 83.

Four days earlier, he posted his final tweet, which sounds like he knew he was leaving... Since he passed, a lot of media outlets have been posting tidbits about him and Spock.

One of the more interesting is this interview from several years ago where he explained the origins of Spock's famous hand gesture that went along with the Vulcan salute, "Live Long and Prosper."

Making the Most of Nothing

Steve Harvey has proved himself a master of making the most of some of the ridiculous moments on Family Feud.

But this one from last month takes the cake.

Simple question: "Other than fruit, name something you might choose by squeezing it first."

But neither contestant would buzz in. Because neither one could think of an answer.

And that left Steve to fill the gap while the show sort of reset itself.

Watch!

When in Chicago...

On Sunday, thousands of people jumped into Chicago's Lake Michigan.

It was time for the annual Polar Plunge, which raised close to $1 million for Special Olympics

On hand were a few celebrities. Vince Vaughn, an area native, jumped in wearing a Chicago Blackhawks jersey.

Lady Gaga showed up and took the plunge with her fiance, Taylor Kinney, one of the actors from Chicago Fire.

Ironically, Gaga was covered pretty much head to toe, wearing more to take a dip in the lake than she wears to perform...

Check out the video from The Chicago Sun-Times that includes some stills of Vince, Gaga and Taylor...

50 Shades of SNL

Dakota Johnson, star of 50 Shades of Grey, hosted Saturday Night Live this past weekend.

Her opening monologue wasn't bad. She poked fun at 50 Shades - actually took a couple of good shots at it.

And interestingly, she introduced her parents - Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson - who were in the front row.

Only Don spoke. Probably just as well...

Kelly Quits the Cops

Kelly Osbourne went through with her threat to leave Fashion Police.

Last week, she was pretty upset over a comment her co-host Giuliana Rancic made about Zendaya's dreadlocks that created quite a stir.

She made her departure official on Friday, and instantly, her mother - Sharon Osbourne of The Talk - applauded her. Meanwhile, Billy Bush from Access Hollywood took a few shots at Kelly before her departure, and that angered the other half of Kelly's DNA pool - her dad, rocker Ozzy Osbourne - who had a choice tweet for Billy...

Showing Your True Colors

It's entirely possible the world went insane on Thursday.

Someone posted a picture of a two-toned striped dress to Tumblr on Wednesday, and asked simply: “Guys please help me - is this dress white and gold, or blue and black? Me and my friends can't agree…"

And then the digital world exploded.

Is it white and gold? Or blue and black? It's turning into an almost uncivil war.

All sorts of people weighed in, and their opinions are strong.

Some, like Taylor Swift, are simply confused.
The folks at The Today Show have the skinny. Or do they? You be the judge.

Llamas on the Lam

A couple of llamas got loose in Sun City, Arizona yesterday afternoon, and the helicopter-shot video of the event quickly went viral.

Fox News picked it up, and (sorry) ran with it.

Shepard Smith provided running commentary on the "llama trot," and some of it is pretty funny. It's just not clear that it's intentionally funny.

"Were they someone's, like, backyard llamas?" he wondered. "Were they babysitting?"

"This is something I've not seen recently in New York," he said, "and we seem to see all kinds of weirdness up here in the New York."

We'll call this a slow news day phenomenon...

Working Out with Queen Bey

Ever wonder how Beyonce keeps herself fit and toned?

Wonder no more.

Because on Wednesday, the Queen herself released an Instagram video to show herself in action, keeping fit and getting toned.

The video is speeded up to the tune of "Eye of the Tiger," but it shows Beyonce moves.

Think you can keep up?
